Description
Statue of Liberty Medals refer to the Statue of Liberty itself, her torch, Liberty Island, Auguste Bartholdi, her creator, Emma Lazarus, the poetess, and any other action or activity directly related to the structure of the Statue of Liberty.
In the soon to be 125 years of the existence of the Statue of Liberty, over 1,750 medals, medallions, tokens, and coins have been identified in various metals, colors, sizes, shapes, and varieties.
Though this touches very close to exonumia, it is intended to be restricted to the collection of metallic objects of the Statue of Liberty.
