Description

Collection of Admiral Vernon Medals.   The medals are listed by both Leander McCormick-Goodhart  and Adams & Chao catalog numbers.  The McCormick-Goodhart book, Admiral Vernon Medals, was published in 1945.   In 2010 a new reference, Medallic Portraits of Admiral Vernon, was authored by John W. Adams & Dr. Fernando Chao. That book is a masterpiece and available from Kolbe & Fanning booksellers at their site www.numislit.com.   To see a clear, larger image of a medal,  just click on the photo.  Note:  I am in the process of updating the collection to include the Adams & Chao catalog numbers.  At this time 150 different major and minor varieties are listed, plus a few duplicates, maps and other related items.***Additional medals will also be listed, but the collection is kept in the bank, and future additions will be made to the listing as photos are taken and posted periodicly.
