Description

This collection was obtained from one source, who bought it from the descendant of a person who was either the secretary or adjutant of the New Orleans Department. All the medals were in a shoebox that was stuffed in the attic. There are many duplicates of the pieces that are shown here that I would like to sell to feed the habit and buy more medals. 	American Legion School Award in wallet.. For boys, larger than the girls medal.
	American Legion School Award for girls. Smaller size than boy's award.
	American Legion Oratory award.
	Previously in collection: 1921 3rd Annual Department of Louisiana Convention, Bogalusa, Louisiana. Enameled bronze medal.
	1922 Annual Convention Department of Louisiana Convention, New Orleans, Louisiana, Athletic Silver medal reverse engraved with event.. Six silver medals for different events.
	1922 Department of Louisiana 4th Annual Convention, New Orleans, Louisiana, Bronze Athletic medal engraved on the reverse with event.. Athletic Award, engraved on the reverse with events.
	1922 4th Annual Convention, New Orleans. Top brooch and tag frame only. One of my favorite AmLeg badges!.
	Previously in collection: 1923 Annual Convention, Department of Louisiana, Monroe, Lousiana.
	1927 National Convention , France, Delegate's medal on card. The Whitehead and Hoag card reverse is representative of every one that is now fragmentary in this collection. I purchased the overwhelming bulk of this collection at the same time from the same source, a descendant of the person who was either Adjutant or secretary of the organization and who was responsible for the acquisition and distribution of badges and medals. Quite a collection! A lot of duplicates I should be unloading in the near future.

	1928 10th National Convention, San Antonio, Texas. On card, with "Guest" clasp.
	Previously in collection: 1928 Department of Louisiana 10th Annual Convention, Baton Rouge. The Louisiana State University Campanile/ War Memorial depicted on the obverse.
	1929 National Convention, Louisville, Kentucky. Alternate badge on L.G. Balfour card.
	1929 National Convention, Louisville, KY, on original card. L. G. Balfour, Attleboro, Mass. Manufacturer.
