Belgium University. Unknown, believed to be 1893. Copper colored fine detailed piece. This piece will be listed in the new Gabriel book that is being completed.  The front lettering is "SCIENCE LIBERTE".  the back in french says- to the inauguration of the temple of science, which is popular with the people.  Oct 1893  I have two of these beautiful copper medals.  The second one i received came from Belgium along with a note.  It said that this medal was created in 1888 to celebrate the new building being put on the campus of the La libre de Bruxelles that was founded in 1863.  It measures 52mm.  They are two of my more cherished pieces in my Statue of Liberty collection.

Bruxelles medal. French mint, 1888. Year 25 anniversary of la libre pensee. This is my second Liberty medal from Brussels.  Totally uncirculated and solid copper.  Please read the info from the other look-alike piece.  This piece also measures 52mm.   There were few Liberty pieces dating before 1890, but this is one of them.
this only two years afer the dedication of the Statue of Liberty.

1986 Bartholdi commemorative. French mint, 1986. Statue of Liberty centennial piece. This bronze piece came in a couple sizes.  this one is about 87mm and has mint markings on the edge, like 1297 out of 1986.  Elaborate details on the front of the statue of liberty and Bartholdi picture.

Original 1885 Statue of Liberty model. United states, July 16th 1885-- patent date Feb 1879. Patented six inch statue with its tin one inch base from 1885. This is the American Committee Model that was produced and sold to produce funds for the base of the statue of liberty.  it originally sold for one dollar, and was made in two pieces.  this is one of my finest pieces to represent the statues history.  This statue has the tin base, and weighs in at 5.7 oz.  The underside of the tin base has a round hole to attach to the bottom half of the statue.  It comes apart in the center, and the tin base is a little rusty, but very clear.

Original 1885 Statue (no. 2). 1885 with patent date of Feby 18,1879. American Committee Model statue. This figurine is identical to my other statue, but the crown points are a little less pointed.  It comes apart easily in the center and has the nice tin base with clear lettering.  The underside of the tin base has a square opening to the bottom half of the statue.  The complete weight of this piece is about 7.2 oz.

Possible GO-9a ?. Unknown, stamp under base labeled DEP 85. Same picture as GO-9 from 1886, plus flag on back. I have 2 of these pieces, and am guessing them to have been produced in the 1885 and 1886 area, but cant prove it.  Would like to know more!  There is a loop on this token to be worn like a charm.

Safe and Sane 1926. New york, 1926. In the Gabriel book this would probably be G3-13a. Independence Day is on the front along with the Statue of Liberty.  The back has two girls running labeled "safe and sane fourth of july" along with the words athletic celebration.

Liberty cookie tin. U.S. Vintage 1910-1920. This tin container is used to hold many of my odds and ends. This biscuit tin was produced for the Loose Wiles Co. And is used by me to hold many smaller items i have collected pertaining to the Statue of Liberty.  It measures 9 and a half by 3 and a half inches and is in nice shape for as old as it is.  It has a nice handle on it and opens and closes easily.
