Scotland, 1827. Silver, 925 Fine, hand engaved, with original Belcher chain. Diameter 37.8mm, 19 grams. Obverse: Elaborate scene with Highland Guard standing at left, facing a standing Scotia (Athena) with spear and shield at right, overlooking a harbor with three sailing ships; cornucopia in the foreground between the two standing figures; SEMPER ARMIS above and NUNC ET INDUSTRIA (Always with arms and now with diligence)in exergue below; Edinburgh hallmark "JM". Reverse: ADJUDGED By The Highland Society of Scotland, TO MARY ROGERS FOR PROFICIENCY in Friendly Society BOOK-KEEPING 1827. Plain edge.
