in So-Called Dollars (currently in collection)
1906. So-Called Dollars 2nd edition HK-335. Silver. Diameter 34mm. Designed by C. E. Barber. Pike's Peak Centennial. Medal turn. NGC Proof. Improperly Cleaned (#2521593-001), This is the only coin (or medal) I own where I've disagreed with NGC. Their notation is improperly cleaned, and I can't see it. I look for the parallel hairlines and can't really find any that indicate cleaning. Possibly they have other tests, but I've saw other coins with more indication, but have been graded. Oh well. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint. So-Called Dollars, 2nd edition states, "issue limited to 250 Silver proof". R6.
