Silver, on Bolívia 8 reales 1803PJ, Potosi mint, Carolus IIII. Diameter 41mm, 26.95 grams. Obverse: crowned Portuguese shield of arms between value and quatrefoils, and date; legend reading "JOANNES.D.G.PORT.BRAS.ET.ALG.P.REGENS". Reverse: armillary sphere over cross of Jerusalem with zodiac, mintmark at centre, and "SUB Q(UO) SIGN(O) NATA STAB(IT)" around. NGC MS-62. Special series, with obverse legend changed to "PORT.BRAS.ET.ALG.P.REGENS".
