Great Britian, 1739. Admiral Vernon medal, McCormick-Goodhart #21, Porto Bello.  Adams & Chao PB 2-B, listed as R-7.  Obverse shows Royal Arms with G R to either side at the top.  The reverse shows six ships outside the harbor.  The legend is in small lettering and reads Porto Bello Taken By Admiral Vernon With Six Men Of War Only Nov (next few words not legible) Dom 1739.  The fort on the reverse left has 6 guns only.   Listed as a rare variety in the MG reference.  Size is 38 mm and weight 13.27 grams.
