Great Britian, 1739. Admiral Vernon medal, Porto Bello, McCormick-Goodhart #27, listed as a scarce variety. Adams & Chao PBv 17-O, listed as R-7.  Obverse shows a bust of Vernon facing left.  The legend reads Admiral Vernon Took Porto Bello.  The reverse shows six ships enterning the harbor.  The legend reads With SIx Ships Only Nov 22 1739.  A shaft points to PS of Ships and a spire to NL of Only.  A well executed portrait of Vernon.  Size is 38 mm and weight 16.42 grams.
