50c 1905 Stamped I9 / 4I / J.B.H.

Panama, 1905. Panama 50c 1905 KM #5 counter stamped I9 to the left of Balboa, and 4I to the right. Above the date at the base of Balboa are the initials J.B.H. At first glance it appears to be the date 19 / 41, but the 1 is clearly the initial I, perhaps the number 1 was not available ? Likely a hand made souvenir of someone that either visited Panama or the Canal Zone in 1941 or perhaps of a military person stationed in the Canal Zone ? The size is 36 mm and weight 24.76 grams. Condition is Very Good to Fine.
