Great Britian, 1739. Admiral Vernon medal, Porto Bello, McCormick-Goodhart #36,  Adams & Chao PBv 11-I, listed as R-6.   Obverse shows Vernon 1/2 length facing 1/2 left, nearly full face.  The legend reads Admiral Vernon Took Porto Bello.  His fingers point to D of Admiral.  The fingers of the right hand is claw like.  The reverse shows ships entering Porto Bello.  The ships are configured in three rows of one, two and three.  The legend reads With Six Ships Only Nov 22.  In the exergue the year 1739.  A steeple points right of P in Ships, and a spire to the left of a quatrefoil.  The size is 26 mm and weight 5.22 grams.
