Panama, 1894. This token is from the first series, dated 1894.  The obverse shows a gold miner with a shovel and pick and a scenic background.  The legend reads The Darien Gold Mining Company Limited.  The reverse has a large 20c in the center with a design below.  The legend reads Las Minas De Oro Darien A Cana 1894.  The token is counterstamped 3 at the bottom of 20c.  This is believed to represent camp #3 at the the mines.  The size is 31 mm and 33 at the diagonal corner tips.  Weight is 8.44 grams, brass. .
