Panama, 1962. A photo ID for an employee of the Panama Canal Company.  The picture side shows a small photo of the employee with his id number and name listed on the bottom of the photo:  3532 R. Danielsen.  The ID badge is sealed plastic over the photo and id area.  The ID is shaped like a shield or badge outline, holed at the top as made, with a brass ring/rivet.  The paper area reads Panama / Canal Company / Canal Zone at the top and Lock / Division at the bottom.  The photo area is faded and the plastic crackled in areas over the photo.  The back side reads Panam Canal Copmany / Balboa Heights / C.Z.   In the center Not Transferable / U.S. Government Property.  At the bottom If found drop in nearest Post Office / Postmaster will forward to / Personnel Bureau / 444 / Re. 3-62.  That likely refers to the date this style of ID badge was issued:  March 1962.   The size varies due to shape, but generally 2" x 2.75". .
