United states, 1889. The Brooklyn Burgher was the first satrical piece of the Statue. This piece was commissioned to celebrate the centennial of the inauguration of our first president.  a paudry man standing on a stump holding an ear of corn is on the front, and the brooklyn bridge is on the back.
