(1982) Gold 5c Uniface Trial Strike, Denomination Side, Unofficial Coin

 Panama , 1982. 5c from 1982 dies struck in.400 fine gold, uniface trial strike.  Denomination side, with the other side blank.  Piefort type striking, edge not reeded, and thicker than a normal coin.  Struck softly in some areas.  It is believed the gold piefort trial strike was struck using the original coin dies, but unofficial. Viewed as a medal or fantasy issue.  Listed in the KM catalog as #TS-4.  Proof or proof-like condition, wight 10.51 grams.
