Panama Canal Zone, 1913-1918. Employee ID check used 1914 to 1918.  Obverse reads Panama / 1335 / Canal.  Above is sloted, and in small letters Am.Ry.S.Co.N.Y. Identifies the manufacturer.  Listed in several references:  Asociacion Numismatico ID-12; Hamlin PC-5; Plowman CK-3.1; and Rulau CZ-76.  Brass, square approximately 38 mm x slightly over 38 mm, and weight 10.61 grams.  Click onto either photo and a 3rd photo will come up showing the original aution ticket.  This piece may be ex-Eugene Hamlin, Jr collection.  He consigned a number of pieces from his collection to this auction.
