Panama Merchant Chit,Abarroterio David 5c

 Panama, ca 1930's. Merchant chit, Plowman #CT-324.05, DSVID / le 17. Ave Herrera (note: imprint is light), iwth a W 5 written over in black ink.  Reverse side has some scribble in black ink.  Size is 41 mm x 32 mm.  Light cardboard, white w.blue blue ink stamped.  Most likely used in lieu of small change to purchase store items.  Ex-Eugene Hamlin, Jr collection.  Gene collected these while he was living and working in the Canal Zone.  He felt they were from the time frame 1930's to 1940's. .
