1982 Gold 1c Uniface Trial Strike, Portrait Side, Unofficial Coin

 Panama, 1982. 1c from 1982 dies struck in.400 fine gold, uniface trial strike, portrait side, with other side blank.  Piefort type striking, edge not reeded, and thicker than a normal coin.  It is believed the gold piefort trial strike was struck using the original coin dies, but unofficial.  Viewed as a medal or fantasy issue.  Listed in the KM catalog as TS-1.  NGC graded PF-63, weight 8.80 grams (weighed prior to encapsulation), NGC #2194293-004. .
