1922 Carter Glass Secretary Treasury

United States, 1922. Large 3" bronze medal struck by the U.S. Mint.  The obverse shows Carter Glass facing left.  On the shoulder area is the name of the designer, Morgan 1922.  That is George Morgan, a noted U.S. Mint engraver.  Around the words Carter Glass Secretary Of The Treasury.  In the right field the dates 1918 / 1922.  On the reverse side is the shield of the Treasury department enclosed by a wreath.  Around reads Thesavri Americae Septentrionalis Sigillvm.  Enclosing the legend is a design all around the edge.  This particular medal possibly was used as  desk paperweight as it shows signs of use, especially the reverse side.
