Canal Zone, 1917. Award medal.  Obverse shows a swimmer with the date Feb 22, 1917 below.  Above is a double triangle symbol over the sun and land.  The legend reads  All-Isthmian Invitation Aquatic Meet, Balboa, CZ.  The reverse is engraved 1st Place / Fancy / Diving / Francis Kerr.  The manufacture name is stamped Robbins Co / Attleboro.  The medal is scalloped shaped, holed at top for suspension with a small ring attached.  Bronze gold plate, size varies approx 32.5 to 34 mm depending where measured, and weight 14.94 grams.  This medal was one of five pieces from the same swimmer at various swim meets sold together as an auction lot.
