Gilt bronze. Diameter 64mm. Struck in the 1840's and one of the great rarities of early American medals. This is the finest known , gilt-bronze and comes with an ancient museum ticket. Rarer than even its counterpart in silver. I simply can't believe I own this - in any condition!.
